About ad:tech brain

The ad:tech brain has been developed as a tool to enable us to gather industry involvement in ad:tech Australia programs. We want you to tell us what topics in digital media & marketing are important to you. The brain works like this. There are two sections:
Voice of ad:tech is where Iain McDonald, the ad:tech Sydney Chair, and Lucy James, the ad:tech Content Director, will write posts about what they’re hearing in the market and what’s happening with ad:tech. As these posts go up, tell us what you think, expand on the ideas, recommend experts, and give us your suggestions & thoughts.

Voice of the industry is where we want you to post your opinion on what matters. Post an idea, a topic or just start a conversation. If you want to post a full opinion piece, you’re welcome to email: lucy@ad-tech.com and we’ll review and post your piece for industry thoughts and comments. Again, we really want you, the community, to contribute to the ad:tech brain to help us identify the real issues to be discussed at ad:tech.

We look forward to hearing from you…

ad:tech breakfast briefings
ad:tech has a great reputation for delivering high-quality content and networking to marketers in Australia and New Zealand and to quench the demand for more more more, in 2009 we launched the club ad:tech breakfast briefings. We held the breakfast briefings throughout the winter months and themes, topics & speakers varied according to what was happening and what was in the market at the time. The breakfast briefings were free to attend but we asked for a donation to our chosen charity at each event. In this, our first year of the briefings, we raised 1000s of dollars for charities across Australia.
You can read about the breakfast briefings here.

ad:tech Sydney advisory councils
In order to ensure that ad:tech Sydney is closely aligned to the Australian digital media marketplace we’ve put together the ad:tech advisory councils. The councils will represent different parts of the market and will be instrumental in guiding the conference content, speaker faculty and social media promotions for their topic area. Internationally ad:tech works with very senior advisory boards and boards of governors. Here in Sydney we want to get more hands on, really tie ourselves to the market and make sure we’re doing what the industry wants. You can read more about the councils here.

ad:tech Melbourne advisory board
Now that we’ve lauched ad:tech in to Melbourne we’re delighted to be working with an advisory board of 15+ industry executives who will help shape and guide the event content, format, partnerships and presence in the local market. We’ve selected advisory board members who we understand to be passionate about digital media & marketing. Between them and us, we’ll ensure that the first ad:tech Melbourne is ridiculously succesful.

iMedia
Inspiration, ideas and implementation are also nurtured through the work that we do with the iMedia Summits and iMedia Connection. We produce the highly popular iMedia Brand Summit, a by-invitation-only event that brings together marketers from Australasia’s leading brands to address the most pertinent issues and opportunities in digital media today. The 2010 iMedia Brand Summit was an outrageous success and the feedback surpassed results from all previous years.

James Borg, Digital Retail Marketing Manager, AGL Energy Limited
“The iMedia Brand Summit is the premier event for digital marketers and those in brand related roles with a digital slant. The hand-picked attendee list ensures engaging interaction with the event speakers, suppliers and delegates. Combined with ad:tech, this event gives me all I need to get through the year from a digital marketing standpoint.”

Michael Weeding, Head of Website & Online Acquisition, Citi
“What a fantastic event. This year’s Summit has set the tone for being one of the premier events on the calendar for any digital marketing professional.”

Gary Bristow, Head of Marketing, Australian Red Cross
“iMedia is an excellent forum for engaging with our industry’s leading thinkers and debating the joint challenges we face.”

Malcolm Alder, Partner, Digital Business, KPMG
“In a cluttered world of conferences and in straightened economic times, iMedia Summit is innovative, distinctive and a great investment of time.”

Through all the above and the proliferation of touchpoints that we have with the industry, ad:tech has established enviable connections and networks both here and overseas. And, what does that mean for you? We use the knowledge and contacts to bring you – the digital industry – the highest quality events in Australia and New Zealand with incomparable learning and networking opportunities to further your business.
